Wildlife Photographer of the Year

25. November 2017 - 1. Mai 2018 (VERLÄNGERT)

Wildlife Photographer of the Year is the most prestigious photography event of its kind, providing a global platform that showcases the natural world’s most astonishing and challenging sights for over 50 years. From the adorable to the elegant, Wildlife Photographer of the Year showcases award-winning images that tell astonishing stories of our natural world while pushing the boundaries of technical skill. Launching in 1965 and attracting 361 entries, today the competition receives almost 50,000 entries from 92 countries highlighting its enduring appeal. Neither costly equipment nor trips lasting for months to the remotest places on earth are a necessity for taking part. The only conditions are that the photo was taken in the wild, has not been edited technically – and that the animals were not disturbed.
The 100 award-winning images celebrates the beauty and magnificence of our world, as well as acting as a stark reminder of the fragility of nature. As major exhibition the best images tours the globe and is seen by millions of people around the world.
