Welcome to the Friends‘ Association for the support of the Westphalian Horse Museum!

The Friends‘ Association for the support of the Westphalian Horse Museum (registered society) was founded in 1992 in order to have a museum built in Münster that presents the cultural history and the importance of the horse in the Westphalian region. Without the commitment of about 500 members then the museum would never have become reality.

Yet even after opening the museum on 27 October 2002 the commitment of the friends’ association has not been finished. It supports the various special exhibitions, the purchase of exhibits for the permanent exhibition and the realization of research projects. As a member you contribute to the development of the museum thus making it more attractive every year. An active association with committed members is the guarantee for a successful future of this museum unique in Germany.
